Dr. Richard Burt video; stem cell use improves the lives of Multiple Sclerosis sufferers

Dr. Richard Burt, the Adult Stem Cell doctor at Northwestern University is publishing results of a study on treating Multiple Sclerosis patients with their own Adult Stem Cells.

The study took 21 patients in the “relapsing-remitting” form of Multiple Sclerosis and implanted them with their own adult stem cells:

Three years after being treated, on average, 17 of the patients had improved on tests of their symptoms, 16 had experienced no relapse and none had deteriorated, the study found.

There are two types of stem cells, “adult” and “embryonic”. Embryonic stem cells come from an embryo. The taking of these cells is fatal but taking adult stems does not cause the death of the person. Adult stem cells are found in many parts of the body, the most common of these "adult stem cells” are found in the blood. There are similar cells in the liver, in nervous systems, and all around the body.

Here is a video on Barry Goudy, another Multiple Sclerosis patient who was in this trial.

Woman who have multiple sexual partners damage their ability to bond with a future partner due to low oxytocin levels.

Multiple Sexual Partners, Oxytocin

A girl's heart, like her body, is not designed to handle multiple sexual partners. The rate of suicide attempts for sexually active girls aged twelve to sixteen is six times higher than the rate for virgins.

New scientific studies suggest that if a woman has multiple sexual partners, this will lower her levels of oxytocin which in turn will damage her ability to bond. Oxytocin is a neuro-peptide most commonly associated with pregnancy and breast-feeding. It seems to act as a human "superglue," helping a mother bond with her infant. It is also released during sexual arousal and there, too, seems to work as a "superglue."

Since estrogen enhances the oxytocin response, females are capable of more intense bonding than males, and are more susceptible to the suffering that accompanies broken bonds. Sharing the gift of sex is like putting a piece of tape on another person's arm. The first bond is strong, and it hurts to remove it. Shift the tape to another person's arm and the bond will still work, but it will be easier to remove. Each time this is done, part of each person remains with the tape. Soon it is easy to remove because the residue from the various arms interferes with the tape's ability to stick.

Abortion and Contraception: the causes of Global Aging

Global aging, combined with plummeting birth rates, is a catastrophically dangerous menace that only a few people seem to be waking up to.

The West has been marinating for decades now in the bloody serum of legalized abortion, and it breathes the toxic atmosphere of ubiquitous pornography, insatiable consumerism, the mania for entertainment and an all-pervasive contraceptive mentality. What would have been unthinkable 50 years ago (gay marriage, a billion-dollar abortion industry, the rise of euthanasia, etc.) has become commonplace.

Social Security and Medicare may have to be drastically downsized or even eliminated. We may not be able to continue paying for the "burdensome expenses" old people impose on an ever-shrinking younger workforce.

30+ years of legalized abortion has hardened millions into seeing unborn children as “parasites” who should be eliminated because they are inconvenient and unwanted. 50 years of the mainstreaming of pornography have educated many to look at others as objects for pleasure.

I predict that the next step in the morbid evolution of the West's enmeshment in the culture of death will entail such horrors as forced euthanasia and cloning human beings for body parts.

Religious schools in South Australia will retain the right to refuse employment to gay teachers.

Gay, Religious, Employment, Teacher

Religious schools will retain the right to refuse to employ gay teachers, but other institutions such as hospitals and welfare agencies will not have the same protection under a refining of proposed anti-discrimination laws.

Religious schools also will retain the right to prevent students who belong to a different religion from wearing the dress or adornments of that religion at school.

The new Bill, which replaces a controversial 2006 Bill, gives employers an option under which they can refuse to employ people wearing religious dress, such as burqas, by allowing them to set "reasonable" standards of workplace dress.

Proposed legislation to make the changes is set down for debate when Parliament resumes on Tuesday. It follows nearly three years of debate and intense negotiations between Labor and the Opposition.

Although religious schools will soon have the right to exclude students who wear dress or adornments of a different religion, I wonder how many will put that right into practice? The same goes with teachers who are gay. Personally I wouldn't have a problem with it as long as the teacher was seeking help to deal with the disorder or seeking a cure. It would be a serious problem if a gay teacher tried to actively convince themselves, staff and students that same sex attraction was just a variation from normal and that the disorder had equality with opposite sex attraction.

Trish Thompson from The Victorian AIDS Council/Gay Men’s Health Centre (VAC/GMHC) is running a group, “ReVisioning” to address abuse amongst gay men.

The group, called ReVisioning, formed in response to a growing awareness around same-sex partner abuse. Trish Thompson, Therapeutic Groups Coordinator and Counselor at VAC/GMHC, said men were regularly talking about issues around violence, aggression and anger in their relationships.

“We recognised there was an issue there,” Thompson said. “Often people think domestic violence doesn’t happen in the gay community, but it does, and people are now recognising it and putting a name to it.”

It is good that people involved in the gay lifestyle are starting to admit that there is a problem with same sex relationships. Researchers have known for a while now that homosexual men in intimate relationships have a disproportionate high rate of abuse between them. I suspect that the violence experienced by these men is a consequence of living a lifestyle which contradicts human nature. Instead of affirming their human nature they are degrading it through their actions, which results in anger, disorder and violence.

Italian singer, Giuseppe Povia sings about a conversion from homosexuality: Gay activists are enraged.

Homosexual activists, enraged by Tolve's account and Povia's song, have accused Tolve of lying, and have begun a Facebook account to bring together those who wish to prevent Povia from singing at the Sanremo Festival. The organization "Arcigay" has reportedly threatened to disrupt the event.

The European Parliament Deputy claims that the song's "lyrics constitute a violation of the rights of homosexuals".

I agree with "Support the Traditional Family" the way this "violates their rights" is that the conversion is seen as a positive thing. And for someone to claim that heterosexual behavior is in any way superior to a homosexual behavior . . . well, that's just hate speech.

Sarah Arnold, Exposing Hidden Homophobia

As we have known all along, homophobia is just a propaganda term used by the homosexual activist community to harass those of use who value marriage and family values.

Sarah Arnold, a Wisconsin public high school teacher is apparently so concerned with this made up term, that she created a program for her students entitled, “Exposing Hidden Homophobia."

Arnold has since attracted outside interest in her “homophobia” program, and she has made her resources and lesson plans available for other public school teachers to use so they can indoctrinate their own students with hyped homophobia propaganda. She also includes with her lesson plans, shortened versions of her “Hidden Homophobia Unit.”

Women who do not breastfeed their infants are nearly four times more likely to neglect and abuse their child, a study of Australian women has found.

breastfeed, neglect, abuse

The analysis of about 6000 Queensland mothers and their children also discovered that the longer a woman breastfeeds, the less likely she is to neglect or abuse her child.

Researchers from the University of Queensland found that of the 1421 women who did not breastfeed their children in the group, 102 women - or 7.2 per cent - neglected or abused their child in some way. This compared with 4.8 per cent of the 2584 women who breastfed for less than four months and 1.6 per cent of the 2616 women who breastfed for more than four months.

Maltreatment included neglect, emotional abuse, physical abuse and sexual assault. Neglect was the most common form identified in the study, but the prevalence of all types increased as the duration of breastfeeding decreased. Other variables found to increase the likelihood of maltreatment were unmarried status, low education, smoking and binge-drinking during pregnancy and symptoms of prenatal anxiety.

Lane Strathearn, author of the research due to be published in the journal Pediatrics next month, said the promotion of breastfeeding could be a simple and cost-effective way of strengthening the relationship between mothers and babies to prevent child neglect and abuse.

Foreign Minister Stephen Smith is under pressure from Sarah Hanson-Young, Mal Washer and Claire Moore to lift the ban on Australian aid for abortion.

Australian Foreign Aid, Stephen Smith, Sarah Hanson-Young, Mal Washer, Claire Moore, Abortion

The suggestion follows US President Barack Obama's action on the issue. The ban was instituted under the Howard government thanks to the courageous influence of independent senator Brian Harradine.

The Federal Government has had the Australian ban under prolonged review but has not acted because of divisions within caucus and also concern about Family First Senator Steve Fielding, whose vote is crucial to Labor on many issues.

Mr Smith can lift the ban administratively — no legislation is required. But it would be a decision he would take in consultation with the Prime Minister at least, because of the sensitivities.

The Australian Reproductive Health Alliance said yesterday Australia was now the only country to limit overseas aid funds in this way. Alliance CEO Jane Singleton said: "We in Australia should not deny the rights we have to women in the developing world where those rights are within the law". I'm proud that Australia does not fund abortions overseas. It needs to stay that way. Singleton is forgetting that abortion is not a right. It is a legal fabrication to present abortion as a good. Women have no more a right to abortion than I have a right to run people over with my car.

The Labor chairwoman of the cross-party parliamentary group on population and development, Claire Moore, said the Obama decision "reinforces that we can't be the only country that imposes such a ban". This is true if you perceive Australia to be Obama's little lap dog. Fortunately many Australians are more than happy to distance themselves from Obama and don't really care what a small minority of international friends think with regard to its refusal to fund overseas abortions.

The former chairman of the committee, Liberal backbencher Mal Washer, said Australia now looked "out-of-date and stupid". Since when do Australians care about what international pro abortion people think? And what does the date have to do with the rightness or wrongness of abortion? Banning funding for abortion overseas was good last years it is good now and will also be good next year.

Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young said support had come from all sides of politics to have the restrictions removed. "It is time for the Rudd Government to stand up for women's rights," she said. As I said before abortion is not a right. It is a crime against a child's right to life. If Hanson want to stand up for womens rights why is she not standing up for all those unborn women?

Make a stand. Fight to maintain the ban on Australian overseas funding for abortion.

Pastor Luke Robinson speaks to Hundreds of Thousands at Giant Washington March For Life while 250,000 view "Life. Imagine the Potential."

Imagine the Potential, March For Life, Luke Robinson, Abortion

Hundreds of thousands of pro-life demonstrators marched through the U.S. capital Thursday, protesting the deaths of almost 50 million unborn children by surgical abortion since the practice was legalized nationwide in 1973.

The March for Life, held on the anniversary of the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade decision that struck down state laws nationwide, attracted large groups from around the nation, including Catholic dioceses and parishes, organizations of priests and laity, and various pro-family and pro-life organizations. Well over half of the participants were under thirty years old, including a very high percentage of adolescents.

March for Life chief organizer Nellie Gray said there were "definitely over 200,000" participants and noted that one television station reported that there were 300,000 participants in the march. Gray also said the march normally takes about one and a half hours to pass one point, but this year it took over two and a half hours, indicating a large increase in numbers.

Despite the election of Obama, many participants expressed hope for the future, speculating that the new president might repent of his past and convert. Others expressed deep concern about the consequences if Obama implements the policies he has espoused during his brief political career, both in the United States and in foreign countries. Source

The most well received speech at the March for Life this year was that of an African American pastor from Frederick Maryland. Pastor Luke Robinson began noting that the election of the first African American President of the United States was a fulfillment of “part” of the “Dream” of Dr. Marin Luther King Jr.

“We are calling on the President of Change, President Barack Obama,” he said, “to be an agent of change as it relates to the lives of over one million children who will be slaughtered in this, his first year as President, by a horrible practice called abortion and ‘a woman’s right to choose’.”

The most striking portion of Robinson’s speech came as he begged Obama not to preside over the genocide of African Americans. “We need change Mr. President because every day about 4000 babies die by abortion. Every day Mr. President, people with your ethnic background any my ethnic background die in astounding numbers. Abortion is the number one killer of African Americans in this country.” Source

The video advertisement "Life. Imagine the Potential." has been well received world wide. In a recent letter to subscribers, president of CatholicVote.com, Brian Burch described how the new ad has been viewed 250,000 times in three days and made the top ten most viewed videos on YouTube.com.

Stephen Carruthers and John Bates, two homosexual predatory pedophile lovers who abused young boys at their flat, were jailed today.

Homosexual, Stephen Carruthers, John Bates, Pedophile

Two homosexual predatory pedophile lovers who abused young boys at their flat were jailed indefinitely today. Stephen Carruthers, 49, and John Bates, 45, began their relationship in prison while serving lengthy sentences for similar sex offences.

The pair, who both have a string of pedophile convictions dating back to the early 1980s, met in Strangeways prison in Manchester and then went on to live in Blackpool, Lancashire. They used enticements of money and boasts of celebrity connections to lure four 14-year-olds to their ground floor flat in Caunce Street in the resort.

Sentencing the pair to indeterminate sentences, Judge Christopher Cornwall said: 'You simply cannot resist the temptation of making contact with boys with the purpose of abusing them for your own sexual gratification. 'The harm that you have caused to each of those boys is hard to calculate. What they all have in common is that you were intent on exploiting them and their innocence.

Carruthers was ordered to serve a minimum of five-and-half years in jail before he can be considered for parole after he was convicted of three counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, grooming and child abduction.

Carruthers told the court: 'My partner and I have been in a relationship for 10 years and in that 10 years together at no time have we got together to plan to abuse any children.' Both denied all the charges against them but were convicted by a jury at their trial in December.

The prosecutors said the pair's victims were lulled into a false sense of security as they were groomed in a 'deliberate and expert fashion'. Two of the boys met Carruthers as he asked them to look after his dogs while he popped into a shop to buy cigarettes. He was soon offering them small amounts of money to carry out odd jobs in his flat before suggesting he could give them 'a million pound each' to satisfy his desires.

One of the victims had learning difficulties which Carruthers exploited to confuse the boy. In victim impact statements read to the court, one mother said she had 'gone through hell' and that her son was still terrified that the pair would escape from prison. Another mother said her son had talked of committing suicide and was constantly being teased at school after he told classmates about his ordeal.

There is evidence that people who do have a same sex attraction like Stephen Carruthers and John Bates are more likely to commit violent crimes. Narth

Open Letter to Fetal Humans

I saw this over at Religion and Morality.

To my fellow humans who are entering that most precarious stage of human development.

Let me begin by congratulating you on making it through the embryonic stage. Too many of our fellow humans don’t even make it as far as you have now. Many died of natural causes. Others were cut down prior to implantation by an abortifacient. Still others are trapped in the freezers of IVF clinics, in suspended animation awaiting their fate.

You have made it to the second stage of life. But you’re not out of the woods, as they say, until you’re out of the womb. In America there are roughly 250 abortions for every 1000 live births, which means that you have (all other things being equal) a 1 in 5 chance of still being aborted. Here are 4 reasons you might be aborted and what you can do to avoid this gruesome fate.

Bolivia will hold a referendum on a new constitution which will promote abortion and open the way for “gay marriage.”

Bolivia, Constitution, Abortion, Gay Marriage, Gay, Gender Identity

Article 66 of the new constitution would "guarantee to women and men the exercise of their sexual and reproductive rights," a phrase that is customarily used by international pro-abortion organizations to refer to the so called "right" to abortion and contraception. There is apparently no mention of a person's obligations or responsibilities with regard to sexuality and the children conceived through those actions.

Article 14, paragraph 2, states that "the government prohibits and sanctions all forms of discrimination based on ... sexual orientation, gender identity..." The new constitution may give gay activists access to religious institutions, schools, and daycare centers. This basically means that you can't say no if some gay group wants to hire your church to have a gay festival. The ruling may also enable gay activists to force “gay marriage” onto society and be able to adopt children thereby excluding them from the benefits of a mother and father.

The article's assertion of rights to "gender identity" refers to the "right" of individuals who are confused to decide what gender they have, independent of their actual physical gender. If approved, it will be the first constitutional recognition of "gender identity", requiring men who claim they are women to be recognized and treated as such. Many believe that people with gender identity confusion should really be receiving help from psychiatrists not encouraging this type of silliness through government legislation.

“Gay Marriage” Laws Open the Way For Polygamy and Sibling Marriage

Polygamy, Gay Marriage

Accused polygamist Winston Blackmore will cite Canada’s “gay marriage” laws as part of his defense against a charge that he has 20 wives.

Blackmore, 52, is scheduled to appear in court in Creston on Wednesday on a charge of practicing polygamy. James Oler, 44, also faces a charge of polygamy. Blackmore is accused of having 20 wives and Oler of having two. They each face a maximum of five years in prison.

There has been several investigations involving allegations of polygamy, sexual abuse and trafficking of teenage brides across the Canada-U.S. border to sister communities in the U.S.

Blackmore said in an e-mail to The Canadian Press, “It’s pretty hard to justify why “gay marriage” is OK and polygamy is not.’’

Blackmore has highlighted the deficiencies in Canada's “gay marriage” laws through this simple statement. If marriage can be extended to include couples of the same sex “gay marriage”, then why can't it also include three people of the same sex? This is a difficult question that I don't think “gay marriage” proponents can answer. If we continue this line of reasoning why not allow a gay couple to marry even if they have the same biological parents?

It was a mistake for the Canadian government to allow “gay marriage”. It has opened the door to allow all sorts of deformed definitions of marriage. Marriage is between one man and one woman. Anything else and marriage loses its status and value in society.

Rev. Ed Bacon declared on Oprah Winfrey's "Best Life" video series that "Being gay is a gift from God."

Earlier this month Rev. Ed Bacon declared on Oprah Winfrey's "Best Life" series that "Being gay is a gift from God." With wide eyes, Winfrey responded, "Well, you are the first minister I've ever heard say, 'Being gay is a gift from God,' I can tell you that."

The comment was so controversial that Winfrey invited Bacon back four days later via video link to explain himself. "Tell us, what did you mean by that comment?" Winfrey asked. "I meant exactly what I said," Bacon responded with a wide smile. "It is so important for every human being to understand that he or she is a gift from God, and particularly people who are marginalized and victimized in our culture. Gay and lesbian people are clearly outcasts in many areas of our life, and it is so important for them to understand that when God made them, God said, 'You are good.'

Rev. Bacon of the All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena, California has been described by Pasadena Weekly as "one of the most socially progressive religious institutions in America." One really wonders what they are progressing towards.

Rev Bacon is confusing the issue between having a same sex attraction and taking part in homosexual acts. He is including these significant differences under the heading of “gay”. He has failed to acknowledge that God loves the sinner but hates the sin. He loves all people because he made us but he really dislikes sinful actions such as homosexual acts.

He is correct when he suggests that God loves everyone especially those who are marginalized in society. People who have a same sex attraction are loved by God even though they may have a disability. We all have some type of disability, sometimes it is visible to others and sometimes it is not. As a Reverend in the Episcopal Church he has failed to proclaim that homosexual acts are disordered and sinful. This is why I think Oprah Winfrey was so surprised to hear him say "Being gay is a gift from God." She knows that what he is saying betrays the gospel that Jesus revealed to us.

The video of both Bacon's original statement and his follow-up interview with Winfrey can be seen below:

Phil Ting Attacks Catholic Church In Retaliation For Proposition 8 Support For Marriage Between One Man and One Woman

Gay Marriage, Ting, Proposition 8, Catholic

San Francisco assessor Phil Ting has called for the Catholic Archdiocese of San Francisco to hand over $15 million in taxes because of an internal restructuring of the archdiocese, a move that some are describing as "retaliation" for the Church's opposition to Proposition 8.

Ting concluded that the Catholic Church owed the city taxes after the archdiocese was restructured and its property, which is almost all used by parish facilities, was consolidated seven months ago.

The Catholic archdiocese immediately filed legal action and questioned the precedent for Ting's decision. "Phil Ting has taken a step that is unprecedented in the history of the state of California. He has determined that an internal reorganization of church property, within the family of corporations of the Archdiocese of San Francisco, constitutes a 'sale' and is subject to a property transfer tax," archdiocese spokesman Maurice Healy told the San Francisco Chronicle. "A tax on transfers of property, all owned by the Catholic Church, within the same family of Archdiocesan corporations, is unprecedented in the history of the state of California and the law is overwhelmingly in our favor on this subject," said Healy.

Many are decrying the move as retaliation for the Catholic Church's support for a YES vote on Proposition 8 which defined marriage as between one man and one women. Some San Francisco residents and politicians are angry at the Catholic Church and other religious groups for supporting Proposition 8. The call to tax the Catholic and Mormon churches, which helped propel Proposition 8 fund raising and campaigning, became a mantra of same-sex "marriage" supporters ever since the amendment passed in November.

Jack Smith of the Catholic Key blog suggested that Ting, who supports “gay marraige”, declared at a “No on 8 rally”, that he was proud to have signed several same-sex marriage certificates.

It is also reported that in June 2008, Ting officiated at at least one same-sex wedding. From Sing Tao Daily:

“Phil Ting spoke after the ceremony and said that he is very glad to marry gay and lesbian couples and very happy to see the day that the California government will allow their gay and lesbian couples the freedom to marry.”

It seems that Phil Ting likes to promote “gay marriage” and is angry that the Catholic Church supported a YES vote on Prop 8 which defined marriage as between one man and one women. He is now attempting to punish the church financially through the use of his political position.

Opposite-Sex Parent Relationships: Girls Need a Dad and Boys Need a Mom

Opposite-Sex Parent, Family Relationships

Opposite-sex parent relationships are important in making children feel validated and encouraged, and communication is an essential building block for all family relationships.

The Journal of Communication and Religion (November 2008, Volume 31, Number 2) contains an analysis of the importance of opposite-sex parent relationships. The conclusion is backed up with social science data and affirmed by a peer-reviewed scholarly article: girls need a dad, and boys need a mom.

The study also found that communication is an essential building block for all family relationships - family interactions are the crucible for attitudes, values, priorities, and world views. Beyond the shaping and modeling of these essential personal characteristics, the family shapes an individual's interpersonal system and self-identity.

Family structures are changing more rapidly than at any previous time with divorce at around 40% and the recent push for same sex couples raising children. Other studies indicate that cohabitation, delayed marriage, and numerous blended family structures are affecting relationships and expectations between family members. Studies conclude that after a divorce mothers are less affectionate and communicate less often with their children. Long term erosion of family relationships is common, with the father-child relationship being the most endangered relationship following family turmoil.

While family communication and interaction is critical to high-quality relationships for children and adolescents, this study suggests that the opposite-sex parent is especially important in making children feel validated and encouraged. This is true of boys as well as girls, but it is especially true of daughters. Fathers have the greatest impact on their daughters' vitality as an adolescent college student. Daughters with a strong relationship with their father are more self-confident, self-reliant, and are more successful in school and career than those who have distant or absent fathers.

Nation's First Government-Funded Abortion Alternatives Program Helps 20,000 Women in 2007-08

Real Alternatives, the statewide program administrator for the award winning Pennsylvania Alternative to Abortion Services Program, has reported that in fiscal year 2007 -2008 a record 19,742 women were provided comprehensive counseling, mentoring, and support.

In 2007-2008 the program received its highest funding of $6.5 million per year by the Commonwealth's Department of Public Welfare. "We have seen a steady decrease in annual abortions since the start of the program 13 years ago," said Kevin Bagatta, Real Alternatives President & CEO. "To date, the citizens of Pennsylvania have placed $59 million of tax payer funds to provide pregnancy and parenting support services to 150,000 women experiencing an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. We are striving for the day when no woman in the Commonwealth feels that she must have an abortion – that is what the program is about."

Bagatta said “This state-funded support program is the only program to lower abortions after there is a crisis pregnancy. It continues to work because of the approximately 500 counselors and mentors statewide meeting the needs of women in unplanned and crisis pregnancies. By providing a counselor to be with the woman in need from the moment she finds out she is pregnant to 12 months after the birth of the baby, this program empowers her to overcome her obstacles and crisis. She is not alone. She knows someone is with her to help her. An alternative to abortion is not a pamphlet, it is another person … it is one woman seeing another woman in crisis and loving her and supporting her like she is her own daughter. This program represents the best in America."

U.K. Mother Pregnant with Siamese Twins Resists Abortion Pressure

Lisa Chamberlain, 25, pregnant with dicephalus twins who have separate heads but share a single body, is determined to allow her conjoined daughters a chance at life, despite doctors advice to kill the children in utero.

If the babies survive after birth, they will become the first ever living British dicephalus twins. "Some people might look at me and say 'You're going to give birth to a freak' but I don't care because I feel blessed," Chamberlain said. "To me, my twins are a gift from God and we're determined to give them their chance of life," she said, adding, "I've even give the twins names – Layla and Kelsey – because I think they're going to be little girls. I've been told that 75 per cent of Siamese twins are."

Lisa and Mike Pedace, who are both Catholics, said doctors advised Lisa to kill the children after a routine scan revealed that they had the extremely rare condition. "Some might think my twins are strange but to me they're just special. Even some of my family say they'd have an abortion but I hate the word and I just don't think it's up to us to decide,” Lisa said.

A UK Telegraph report indicated that doctors at St. Mary's Hospital in Portsmouth say that they will not know how many organs the twins share until the twentieth week of pregnancy. They have only detected a single heartbeat so far, but it is possible that another one may emerge.

Michaela Aston of the pro-life group LIFE, the UK's leading provider of crisis pregnancy and post-abortion counseling, commended Lisa on her decision. "This young mother is an example to us all as she unconditionally welcomes her twins into the world," Aston said in Press Association report. "She knows it will be difficult but she is focusing on the fact that she is already the proud mother of these babies and accepts them however they are. They may not be perfect in the eyes of the world but they are fully human and as such should have the same value and right to life as any other human beings. "It is sad that this young mother must face a society which is increasingly unable to accept babies who are not genetically perfect and which may judge her for allowing her twins to continue to live," Aston concluded.

The “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention” Report Warns Syphilis is Still Ravaging the Homosexual Community

Syphilis, a disease close to being eliminated as a public health threat less than a decade ago, has increased each year since 2000 and remains a serious threat to the health of homosexual and bisexual men.

In recent years, men who have sex with men (MSM) have accounted for an increasing number of estimated syphilis cases in the United States and now account for 65% of syphilis cases in the United States. Despite the majority of U.S. syphilis cases occurring among MSM, syphilis cases among heterosexuals is an emerging problem given the recent increases among women and infants.

In 2007, (MSM) represented 65 percent of the 11,466 P&S syphilis cases reported. Increases in cases among MSM have occurred and have been characterized by high rates of HIV co-infection and high-risk sexual behavior. Syphilis among MSM is of particular concern because it can facilitate HIV transmission and lead to irreversible complications such as strokes, especially in those who already have HIV. There is also the financial burden that this life style places on health care budgets.

Gay Marriage Bill Being Introduced In Maine

Gay Marriage, Homosexuality, Maine

Sen. Dennis Damon said he is introducing a bill to rewrite Maine's existing statute that defines marriage as between one man and one woman, instead defining it as a union between two people. In addition, it recognizes "gay marriages" from other states. Supporters of "gay marriage" said this is the time to recognize marriages between same-sex couples.

Maine currently has a domestic partnership registry that's open to gay couples. But that's not enough for "gay marriage" supporters. Damon says it's time to "fully end discrimination in Maine."

Damon's gay marriage proposal faces a fight. House Minority Leader John Tardy, R-Newport, is expected to propose bolstering the state's one man-one woman definition by putting it in the Constitution. The Maine Family Policy Council also plans to oppose the gay marriage bill "with everything we've got," Executive Director Michael Heath said. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland also will work aggressively against the bill, which goes to the heart of a fundamental issue for many.

Those who support “gay marriage” are forgetting that "gay marriage" is impossible. Society does not have the ability to redefine marriage because it is not a social construct. It is something that flows from human nature itself. Society can’t enable men to marry men or women to marry women any more than we can enable men to turn into ducks or women to turn into geese. Denying people these abilities is not a matter of fairness or equal access. It is not a matter of discrimination or bigotry. We simply do not have the ability.

It is obvious to all that sex is about reproduction. Babies are helpless and require an enormous amount of care and attention. Children also take a long time to mature. Raising children is a multi-decade effort that needs the involvement of both parents. The fact that human offspring require so much care and take so long to mature means that their parents need to be joined in a stable union.

Marriage is a permanent partnership between a man and a woman ordered to the procreation of offspring by means of some sexual cooperation. This is the reality of what marriage is and what it has been understood to be in all human societies in history, even those that have been otherwise tolerant of homosexuality.

Given the fact that marriage is a reality of human nature, we cannot change it. We don’t have the ability to alter human nature. The most society could do is institute homosexual marriage as a legal fiction. That is to say, we could create laws requiring those in society to treat those in homosexual unions as if they were married. People could be required to refer to homosexual unions as "marriages," to refer to people in such unions as "spouses," to alter forms so that people in such unions can present themselves as such, and to give them the status of married people regarding adoption, housing, taxes, insurance, divorce, and inheritance.

But while the law could be rewritten to coerce society into treating people in homosexual unions as if they were married, this would not give them the reality of marriage. It would not change the nature of their union to correspond to what marriage actually is. All society would be doing is playing a word game, stretching the term marriage so that it no longer picks out a particular human reality that has existed and will continue to exist—unaltered—no matter what word games are played around it.

Natalie Dylan auctions off virginity for offers of more than £2.5 million

Natalie Dylan, virginity

Natalie Dylan, 22, is auctioning off her virginity to fund her master's degree in Family and Marriage therapy. Her offer of a one-night stand has persuaded 10,000 men to bid for sex with her and has reached £2.5million ($3.7m).

Miss Dylan, who has a degree in Women's Studies insisted she is not demeaning herself. The California resident, said she was persuaded to offer herself to the highest bidder after her sister Avia, 23, paid for her own degree after working as a prostitute for three weeks.

Miss Dylan said she received a lot of attention from a wide range of men, including "weirdos", "those who get really graphically sexual about what they want to do to me" and "lots of polite requests from rich businessmen. I know that a lot of people will condemn me for this because it's so taboo but I really don't have a problem with that. I think me and the person I do it with will both profit greatly from the deal." She added: "It's shocking that men will pay so much for someone's virginity, which isn't even prized so highly anymore."

Miss Dylan has no right to auction off her virginity. Her virginity belongs to her future husband should she choose to get married. By losing her virginity so recklessly she takes from her husband the one thing that she can never give him. This special gift can only be given once and she is denying that from her husband.

This action by Miss Dylan is an abuse of her sexual powers. Sex was never meant to be sold at a price. It has a purpose, to bring new life into the world and unite husband and wife together in a special way.

Sex is being abused so much these days. Instead of being an expression of love and total self giving to the other spouse it has now become, for some, a commodity which can be bought and sold. This cheapens it and lowers its dignity within society. It's not just a personal contract that's going on here, it has an impact on everyone.

As a future “Family and Marriage” therapist you would think that Miss Dylan would be aware of the nature and purpose of sex.

Transgender Residents Can Now Use Any Toilet

This ad came from opponents of a gender identity provision added last year in Florida which now allows residents to use whichever restroom they’re most comfortable using.

By giving one right to a particular group you take away another right from a different group. Transgender people have now been given the “right” to use any toilet but this increases the danger for children of being abused by a pedophile. So the children’s “right” to be safe in a public toilet has been reduced.

Brighton & Hove City Council: Unjust Discrimination Against Pilgrim Homes

Brighton & Hove City Council, Pilgrim Homes

Pilgrim Homes, a charity serving the elderly for more than 200 years has been unfairly discriminated against and had its funding cut by the Brighton & Hove City Council. The home refused the council’s request to ask the elderly Christian residents about their sexual orientation.

Phil Wainwright, director of human resources at Pilgrim Homes, said he was told by the council that the home must ask residents if they were lesbian, gay, bisexual, heterosexual or ‘unsure’, even if they objected. But managers at the care home told the council that meeting its demands would “unduly distress” the residents and go against their Christian ethos. They also informed the council that residents over the age of 80 in particular would regard probing from the council on sexual matters as “hostile and intrusive”.

The home also refused to use images of homosexuals in its promotional literature and show staff a Stonewall presentation on "gay rights."

The council responded by accusing the home of “institutionalised homophobia” and withdrew the £13,000 funding, which was being used to pay for warden services in sheltered housing. “Institutionalised homophobia” is just a euphemism to try and tell you that Pilgrim Homes has an irrational fear of homosexuality. This of course is rubbish. I expect many of the residents at the home know that homosexual sex is disordered and they don't want the “gay agenda” propaganda forced upon them. Many of the residents are old enough to know what modern research has confirmed. Extensive research indicates that suicide, molestation, and violence are factors found to be disproportionally high with people who identify as being homosexual.

Pilgrim Homes said it now plans to take Brighton & Hove Council to court for religious discrimination. The Christian Institute’s Mike Judge said: “Brighton Council is displaying a very prejudiced and discriminatory attitude to the religious beliefs held by the elderly residents of the home run by Pilgrim Homes.

Why not make a complaint to the council and ask them to stop discriminationg against Pilgrim Homes, re-instate their funding and keep their “gay agenda” propaganda to themselves. You might also like to remind them of the harmeful effects homosexual sex has on individuals.

Massachusetts Budget Cuts But Not For Pro-Homosexual Programs

Massachusetts, Pro-Homosexual

Many states across the U.S. are facing budget cuts. Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts has already slashed millions from the budget and more cuts are on the way. Brian Camenker of MassResistance says more than 1,000 state jobs as well as public school funding have been cut, while mental health facilities have also been closed.

However, pro-homosexual programs in Massachusetts' public schools have remained. Camenker notes that $150,000 of the $850,000 was cut. But upon further investigation, he found that the $150,000 was being funneled back in through the Department of Public Health. MassResistance plans to organize thousands of concerned citizens to converge on the legislature and demand that this "outrage" stop.

Massachusetts politicians are failing to notice that many people don't want “pro homosexual” propaganda being taught to their children. They are making the false assumption that homosexual acts are just another “good alternative life style.” But recent research says otherwise. Extensive research indicates that suicide, molestation, and violence are factors found to be dis proportionally high with people who identify as being homosexual.

Gay Funding Untouchable in Recession

Father Kennedy Will Take St Mary's Parish With Him

Father Kennedy, St Mary's

Father Peter Kennedy, parish priest of St Mary's Catholic Church South Brisbane, says he will lead a breakaway congregation if Brisban's Catholic Archbishop John Bathersby closes St Mary's Church.

For many years, the Catholic parish of St Mary's, has been notorious for its continued liturgical abuses and doctrinal errors. In 2004 Archbishop John Bathersby of Brisbane took action over an invalid baptismal formula - 'Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier' instead of 'Father, Son and Holy Spirit'. Earlier this year matters came to a head when a statue of Buddha was placed in front of the altar at St Mary's, prompting letters of complaint to the Archbishop and to the Vatican.

Father Kennedy said he was determined to carry on. "The reality is that, if we are excluded from this church, the Trades and Labor Council have already offered us their place just down the road," he said. The Archbishop has reminded the parish that it is operating outside the accepted practices of the Roman Catholic Church and has encouraged Father Kennedy to avoid practices that separate him and his congregation from communion with the Roman Catholic Church.

For Father Kennedy and his followers personal intellect and discernment have replaced acceptance that the Holy Spirit speaks through those who are legitimately ordained superiors. The popular but erroneous view that the Church is the people has led some to believe that Church authorities must "dialogue" with "the people" before making any binding decrees.

Church leadership is an office of service, but service to the Triune God, who inspires and enlightens according to Scripture and divine revelation. It is impossible for the Church to offer any teaching, no matter how popular, that does not accord with that revelation.

When priests publicly challenge that revelation, they should be and sometimes are censured. Some bishops have hesitated to exercise their legitimate pastoral role in calling dissidents to account. Their wish to avoid the inevitable conflict such censure would provoke is understandable.

The Archbishop is expected to make a definitive statement on the fate of the parish later this month.

Australian Medical Association Wants More Sex Education for Victoria

Sex Education, Abstinence Education, AMA

The AMA is pressuring the Victorian State Government to spend $19.45 million over four years on a comprehensive sex education program. Its budget submission, obtained by The Sunday Age, claims that: sex education must be mandatory and well organised, it must start long before children are sexually active, it must be specific — no euphemisms — and it must be age appropriate. The AMA advocates beginning sex education at the age of 10. Parents could pull their children out of classes if they chose.

While I agree that education is a good thing, the important issue is what type of sex education the AMA is suggesting. Are they advocating an abstinence education type program where children learn about the purpose and meaning of sex and its place within marriage or is there a focus on contraceptives and the use of sex as a form of entertainment?

Due to the widespread use of birth control, more and more people are having sex without intending to have children. Sex out of wedlock has become far more common, and more sex means more babies. Some argue that teaching people how to use contraceptives will alleviate the problem. But research shows that programs emphasizing “safe sex” education and condom distribution have not reduced the out-of-wedlock birth rates among sexually experienced teens. Increased condom use by teens is associated with increased out-of-wedlock birth rates.”[1]

The disastrous sex education programs implemented in Britain is enough to put anyone off. A recent study by the government-sponsored Sex Education Forum in Britain, revealed that the school system is already saturated with sex education. This had lead to a "culture of promiscuity" and has led to 397,990 new cases of sexually transmitted diseases, the highest number since record-keeping began thirty years ago. At the same time, the government's obsession with sex education has not halted the abortion rate among young girls. A recent study revealed that Britain's abortion rate in 2007 rose a shocking 21 percent among young mothers under the age of 14. Abortions for those under the age of 16 also rose ten percent.

Dr. Philip G Ney, MD a retired professor of psychiatry says that the more sex education there is, the more sexual activity and all the problems that go with that. The introduction of sex education is well correlated with the increase in abortion, STDs and boy-girl interpersonal problems. Good education gives people the desire to try it out or learn more experientially.

The United States have taken on a different approach with regard to sexuality and education. For the past 12 to 13 years sexual activity rates have been going down among teenagers as well as abortion, pregnancies and out of wedlock births. This coincides with when abstinence education started. However, pregnancy, abortion and out of wedlock births have been rising for the older age group, between 19-25, a group that has not been targeted by abstinence programs.

The most successful abstinence education programs are those that emphasize the risk of pre-marital sexual activity. They show how abstinence fully protects a young person from STD’s, teen pregnancy and emotional trauma. They underline the importance of self-control and responsibility and give students the positive goal of a stable and committed marriage towards which to work in future. At the same time, however, researchers also found that it was crucial to re-educate adolescents about abstinence each successive year.

Well-designed and well-implemented abstinence education programs can reduce teen sexual activity by as much as one half for periods of one to two years, substantially increasing the number of adolescents who avoid the full range of problems related to teen sexual activity. Source

Lets hope that the Victorian Government implements an abstinence based education program for the sake of the children involved. The Brumby government has a poor track record with regard to life issues so I won't be holding my breath on this one.
