Video of Alan Duncan UK Politician saying on a comedy show that he would kill Miss California, Carrie Prejean, for her remarks against gay "marriage."

Mr. Duncan, on the BBC comedy news show "Have I Got News For You" on Friday, described Prejean as a "silly b**ch." He added,

"If you read that Miss California has been murdered, you will know it was me, won't you?"

Prejean made the remarks during the recent Miss USA beauty pageant where Perez Hilton, one of the judges in the competition, asked Miss California's Carrie Prejean: "Vermont recently became the fourth state to legalize same-sex marriage. Do you think every state should follow suit? Why or why not?"

Prejean answered: "I think it's great Americans are able to choose one or the other. We live in a land that you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. And you know what, in my country, in my family I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be - between a man and a woman."

You can see in the video by the look on Duncan's face that he knows he has said something stupid. The problem is, what happens if some nut does kill Carrie Prejean? Isn't this hate speech of the first degree? Inciting violence against another person because of their beliefs?

A Christian teacher has been suspended after he complained about the use of training time to promote the idea that homosexuality is normative

Kwabena Peat, 54, was one of several teachers that walked out of his school's compulsory training day in January, at which Sue Sanders, a prominent UK homosexualist activist, suggested that those who do not accept homosexuality as normal have 'issues' that need to be addressed.

During the presentation Sanders started promoting homosexual lifestyles and suggested that those who had objections should sort out their prejudices.

Mr. Peat wrote to the three staff members who organized the session at Park View Academy complaining about Sanders' "aggressive" presentation. Peat was suspended with pay pending outcome of disciplinary investigations after the staff members complained that, although they were senior to him, they felt "harassed and intimidated" by his complaint.

Andrea Minichiello Williams, barrister and director of the Christian Legal Centre said that the "legitimate orthodox Christian view as expressed by Mr. Peat, however disagreeable others may find it, should not be construed as harassment or discrimination."

The "Christian Legal Centre" is right. Disagreeing with the homosexual lifestyle is not a form of harassment, just as disagreeing with child molestation is not a form of harassment but simply a judgment about a particular behaviour.

Sue Sanders is doing the homosexual community a great disservice by telling people that homosexuality is normative. Same sex attraction is a disorder that needs to be treated. Sufferers either need to be cured of it or at least given strategies to live a chaste lifestyle.

Homosexual acts are a different matter. The purpose of sexual intercourse is to reproduce the human race, it is part of our nature. Every sexual act needs to be open to the possibility of new life in order to correspond with its purpose. Homosexual sex will never produce new life due to the very nature of the act therefore will not fulfill the purpose of sex.

The Dominican Republic passes a bill to preserve life for the unborn

Unborn children are now safe from abortion thanks to President Leonel Fernandez of the Dominican Republic. In a remarkable vote the lawmakers put down abortion's blood drain by a whopping 167 to 32.

Dominican Republic is a Caribbean gem nestled between Haiti, the North Atlantic and the Caribbean Sea.

The decision to quit abortion was driven by the efforts of the Catholic Church under the guidance of Santo Domingo's Cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez who went on record for saying that

pro abortionists were "butchers and merchants." He emphasized that the interests of the pro-abortionist was largely about profit and had little to do with choices as it is touted in America.

Actual abortion videos were shown as well on national TV that the Dominicans found unbelievable and wholly repugnant.

Radical environmentalist Sandra Kanck president of "Sustainable Population Australia" wants the nation to adopt a one child policy

Sustainable Population Australia, national president, Sandra Kanck said this week that Australia's 22 million people must be reduced to 7 million and that restricting each couple to one baby, as China does, is "one way of assisting to reduce the population" and avoiding "environmental suicide."

Population increase, she said, means, "more cars on the road, more coal-fired electricity generated. It entails more houses and other consumer products. It uses more cement, energy and water which all results in more greenhouse gas emissions."

Population increase is not to blame for increased resource use but rather the increase in number of households and over indulgent lifestyles are to blame. House size has increased over the past 20 to 30 years while the number of people living in those houses has decreased as Australia's families have fewer and fewer children. This means that larger rooms need to be heated and cooled while fewer people live in them.

Divorce is another cause of increased greenhouse emissions. A single household of six becomes two households of three when families are split apart. More underpopulated households means an inefficient use of resources and increased greenhouse gases.

Stephen Mosher, President of the Population Research Institute, responded to Kanck's proposal, saying that to suggest that Australia is overpopulated stretches the imagination.

"The Radical Environmentalists in Australia, as everywhere else, think of people as a pestilence. They are determined to reduce their number, even if this means adopting China's one-child policy, with its forced restrictions on birth. And even if this means destroying the economy, and condemning the elderly to a hand-to-mouth existence as the pension funds go belly up." Australia's most pressing "population problem," is "too few people." "I'm actually more than happy for the radical enviros to voluntarily adopt a one-child policy - they have, for the most part, already done so - but they shouldn't try and impose it on the rest of us."

Despite Australia's economic success, some have warned that population implosion is looming with the country's shrinking birth rate and reliance on immigration to sustain its work force. Gail Instance, the head of Australia's Family Life International, has said,

"Common sense tells us that we are committing national suicide. We had better make up our minds about who we want to give this country to--since we don't seem to want it ourselves."

NancyJo Mann’s Abortion Experience

My mother made all the arrangements. She called my ob/gyn and he said he wouldn’t do an abortion, much less a second trimester. He told her that the only one in town that would do it was Dr. P. F-, a prominent doctor in that area. Without losing a moment of time for reflection or doubts, my mother and I went over to see him. When he learned that I was seeking an abortion, he immediately had me brought into an examination room.

After a quick examination, my abortionist told me that I would have to have the abortion done within the next 24-hours or I would be outside the limit of the law. Of course this wasn’t true, but I didn’t know that then. Abortions are legal throughout all three trimesters, right up to the day before birth, and I was still well within the second trimester. He just used this little lie to pressure me into making a quick decision.

Tegan Leach charged with procuring her own miscarriage and Sergie Brennan, charged with supplying drugs to procure an abortion

Tegan Simone Leach, 19, faced Cairns Magistrates’ Court yesterday on a charge of procuring her own miscarriage while her partner Sergie Brennan, 21, is charged with attempting to procure an abortion and supplying drugs to procure an abortion.

Police have alleged Mr Brennan organised for his sister to obtain the abortion pill misoprostol from her doctor in the Ukraine and smuggle it into Australia on a flight to Cairns.

Medical abortions are legal in Australia but only under the supervision of prescribing doctors.

Cairns gynaecologist Caroline de Costa said,
"Abortion should not be a crime; it should be controlled by the same health regulations that control things like removing an appendix or treating pneumonia. It is the only part of our health care that is in the criminal code."

Abortion always is and always will be a crime. Abortionists like de Costa don't seem to realise that pregnancy is not a disease like pneumonia or just a part of a person's body like an appendix. When an abortion occurs the death of an unborn child is the result.

A selection of dumb comments from Susie O'Brien of the Herald Sun.

But his (Cardinal George Pell) recent support for the Pope's claims that condoms contribute to the spread of AIDS in Africa can't pass without condemnation.

Condoms feed a promiscuous lifestyle. Promiscuity spreads AIDS. If everyone did what the Pope said and remained faithful to his/her spouse AIDS would not spread.

An estimated 23 million people are currently living with HIV or AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa and 1.5 million Africans die from the condition every year.

Yea and the west has been pumping Africa with condoms for years and years and its not getting any better.

I can't understand the Catholic Church's obsession with birth control.

I can't understand secular societies obsession with birth control. The church isn't obsessed with contraception at all in fact the church would prefer if contraception were to vanish from the face of the earth.

Condoms work. They save lives. Pell should look at the science before shooting off at the mouth.

Yes lets look at the science. Dr. Edward Green of Harvard University's Center for Population and Development Studies says that, "There is a consistent association shown by our best studies between greater availability and use of condoms and higher (not lower) HIV-infection rates."

Professor Gloria Tomas of the Catholic University of Murcia has called sodomy a sexual perversion and said that homosexuality is a mental disorder

The Spanish homosexualist organization COLEGAS has submitted a legal complaint of "homophobia" to the nation's attorney general after bioethics professor Gloria Tomas called sodomy a sexual perversion and said that homosexuality is a mental disorder.

According to local media reports, Professor Tomas was speaking at a conference when she said that homosexual behavior is "intrinsically disordered" and that homosexuality was removed from the list of mental disorders "for political motives."

Rafael Salazar, president of COLEGAS, called the statements...

"unconnected and incoherent" and claimed that Tomas' reasoning was "more appropriate for a high school student than a university professor." He asked the attorney general to arrange for "urgent psychological treatment" for professor Tomas, to enable her to "overcome her fears and traumas."

I expect Salazar thinks the majority of us need "urgent psychological treatment". This is why our children are coerced into believing that homosexual relationships are normal at school.

There is nothing morally wrong with experiencing a same sex attraction. It is a disorder which some psychologists claim can be cured. When these desires are acted upon the disorder becomes a problem. There are well documented studies which support the claim that homosexual sex is detrimental to a persons health. This in turn becomes a burden on health care systems.

Women exploited by abortion

My name is Nancyjo Mann. I am one of the 16 million of women who has had an abortion since 1973. I’ve seen this from all angles; from the pro-choice side, the pro-life side, and most importantly, from the side of a woman who has experienced abortion.

I exercised my “right to choose,” and I became a victim of this Pandora’s Box. It was a pretty, tempting treasure. It promised to solve all my problems and restore full control over my life. But instead, this “right,” this “gift,” was filled with sufferings and regret which I could never have anticipated or imagined. What follows here is my story. It is not a unique one. Millions of others have been seduced by the same false promises. Mine is but one example of the abortion reality.

David Booker an employee of the "English Churches Housing Group" has been suspended for answering questions about his faith to a colleague at work

On 26 March, whilst working an evening shift, Booker had a conversation with a female colleague. The colleague asked him about his faith and beliefs. During the conversation he was asked the Church’s teaching on homosexuality and same-sex marriages, which Mr Booker explained.

The following day he was summoned by his employers and told that he was suspended for “events that happened last night”. He was given a formal suspension notice alleging that: “ On 26 March 09, whilst on shift with a female colleague, you seriously breached ECHG’s (English churches House group) Code of conduct by promoting your religious views which contained discriminatory comments regarding a person’s sexual orientation.”

Andrea Minichiello Williams, barrister and director of CLC said:

This case shows that in today’s politically correct, increasingly secularized society, even consenting reasonable discussion on religion between two employees is being twisted by employers to discriminate and silence the Christian voice and freedom of expression.

Julio Severo a Christian pro-family activists is being sought by police because he said that homosexual behavior is immoral

Julio Severo, one of Brazil's most prominent pro-life and pro-family activists, has fled Brazil to escape police who sought him following a complaint of "homophobia" filed against him for his unfavorable coverage of the nation's Gay Parade.

Severo states on his blog that federal prosecutors were seeking to obtain his address from his internet service provider, who hired an attorney to defend its claim that it was not obligated to turn over the information. However, their arguments were rejected.

Although Brazil has no "homophobia" law on the books, its courts have repeatedly convicted individuals and groups of the phantom crime, even going so far as to prohibit an entire pro-family campaign by the Evangelical Protestant group VINACC

The article for which Severo was being sought observes that homosexual behavior is immoral, and urges those who are involved in the sin to convert to Christianity. It also notes the link between many homosexualist organizations and pedophilia, and notes that while Brazil's annual homosexual parades receive heavy media coverage, its large "March for Jesus" is hardly mentioned.

Notre Dame president Fr. John Jenkins has invited President Obama to speak. Michael Voris from "The Vortex" gives a nice round up of the situation.

It is disappointing that a Catholic university would honor someone who is pro-choice (supports the killing of unborn children) and who holds many values contrary to Catholic belief.

As of 9/4/09, 31 U.S. bishops have protested the University of Notre Dame's invitation to President Obama to speak at commencement and receive an honorary law degree on May 17.

Over 260,000 people have signed the petition to prevent the scandal of Obama speaking at the university.

Meanwhile only 33,000 have signed the petition in support of Notre Dame's invitation to Obama.

Cardinal George Pell of Sydney has demonstrated strong leadership in the face of opposition by backing Pope Benedict XVI’s comments on the AIDS crisis

Cardinal George Pell, Pope Benedict XVI, AIDS, Don Baxter, Australian Federation of AIDS

Pope Benedict XVI’s comments on the African AIDS crisis caused a bit of controversy last week. The Pope said that condoms are not the solution to the problem of AIDS in Africa. Instead he praised fidelity and abstinence as the only true way to combat AIDS.

Cardinal George Pell of Sydney has backed the pope saying yesterday that,

"the health crisis facing Africa was an enormous challenge but contraception was not the answer to stopping the spread of AIDS."

"The idea that you can solve a great spiritual and health crisis like AIDS with a few mechanical contraptions like condoms is ridiculous," the Archbishop of Sydney said in a television interview.

"Condoms are encouraging promiscuity. They are encouraging irresponsibility." Source

Australian Federation of AIDS Organisations executive director Don Baxter said

"Calls for not using condoms and being faithful are heard by Africans to mean if they have regular partners, they don't need to wear condoms," Mr Baxter said. "It only requires one person in the quite complicated sexual networks to be exposed and then all in the network are at risk," he said. Source

Baxter misses the point. A life style change is needed in order to stop AIDS transmission, just like you need to give up smoking to help avoid lung cancer, you need to give up promiscuity to avoid spreading AIDS.

Chinwuba Iyizoba a Nigerian electrical engineer sees the call for not wearing condoms this way.

"People with condoms are emboldened to take more risks. Part of the counselling of people living with AIDS is “try not to spread it” -- in a word, to live abstinence. But before they got the disease they were told “hey, no need to curtail your libido, just use condoms.” If personal control is not achieved before contracting HIV/AIDS it is often impossible afterwards."

"You would think that Western journalists and politicians might condescend to ask us what we think about how to fight AIDS. But they haven’t. A pity, because they would have found that many of us support Pope Benedict XVI’s scepticism about the effectiveness of distributing condoms." Source

Abortion used to discriminate against women - imbalance of the sexes

A new study has found China's selective abortion in favour of males has left the country with 32 million more boys than girls, creating an imbalance that'll endure for decades.

The availability of cheap ultrasound diagnostics and abortion has enabled Chinese couples to use pregnancy termination to prevent a female birth. The paper was published online by the British Medical Journal. Source

Last year the British charity ActionAid reported that unborn baby girls were being disproportionately aborted in some areas of India.

Though a 1994 law banned selective abortion based on the sex of the unborn child, many families still use ultrasound scans to detect and abort female children. ActionAid says other outlawed practices, such as allowing newborn girls’ umbilical cords to become infected, have also contributed to the sex imbalance. Source

The Australian government has recently redirected some of its AusAID money to be used for abortion services overseas. I wonder how many of these tax payer funded abortions are for the purpose of sex selection?

Study finds that women who have abortions are twice as likely to argue with their partner and three times as likely to experience domestic violence

When a woman gets an abortion, the couple is more than twice as likely to argue when discussing future children, and nearly three times as likely to experience domestic violence, compared with women who carry the pregnancy to term and raise the child, according to the peer-reviewed journal Public Health published Mar. 24.

The study was carried out by Dr. Priscilla Coleman, professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Bowling Green State University, KY; Vincent Rue of the Florida-based Institute for Pregnancy Loss; and post-abortion researcher Catherine Coyle. The researchers found that abortion affected future relationships as well.

"For both men and women the experience of an abortion in a previous relationship was related to negative outcomes in the current relationship.”

Marie Stopes International admits that contraception fails with more than half of Australian women

Marie Stopes International, Condom, Contraceptive Pill, Conception, Natural Family Planning, Abortion,

More than half of Australian women who unexpectedly get pregnant are either on the pill or using condoms at the time, a survey has found.

The report into unplanned pregnancy by sexual health organisation Marie Stopes International shows that 43 per cent of women were on the oral contraceptive pill when it occurred. A further 22 per cent were using a condom and 21 per cent of the women using contraception were on more than one method.

Marie Stopes International acting chief executive Jill Michelson said the figures were proof of the need to increase the range of contraceptive options in Australia, invest in research to improve contraceptive efficacy and implement a dedicated contraceptive user education campaign.

Why flog a dead horse? Contraception works but not very well. Meanwhile, the Natural Family Planning method for avoiding conception boasts around a 99% effective rate. Source. Source

Cait Calcutt, coordinator of Queensland-based unplanned pregnancy counselling service, said the research showed women were not using abortion as a form of contraception, as many people believed.

How does she come to this conclusion? The article is about how ineffective contraception is at avoiding pregnancy. When contraception fails, abortion is the next option for those who refuse to give birth to their child.

Student Julea Ward dismissed from Eastern Michigan University because she would not affirm homosexual behaviour

A lawsuit has been filed against Eastern Michigan University after school officials dismissed student Julea Ward from the school’s counseling program for not affirming homosexual behavior as morally acceptable.

"Christian students shouldn’t be penalized for holding to their beliefs," said ADF Senior Counsel David French. "When a public university has a prerequisite of affirming homosexual behavior as morally good in order to obtain a degree, the school is stepping over the legal line.

EMU requires students in its program to affirm or validate homosexual behaviour within the context of a counseling relationship and prohibits students from advising clients that they can change their homosexual behavior.

What type of a university is this? Same sex attraction is a disorder and there are many people who need help in being cured of it or at least given strategies to lead a healthy life free from homosexual behaviours.

As a councilor, it would be important to try and help these people. Telling them that homosexual behaviour is something good only makes their problems worse. Julea Ward has done the right thing in refusing to affirm homosexual behaviour as good when it is not. Julea has a moral obligation to inform them of the dangers of homosexual behaviour.

UK Sexual Orientation Regulations cause discrimination against Christian hotel owners

Martyn Hall, a homosexual living with his civil partner Steven Preddy, has lodged an unprecedented county court claim for £5,000 in damages, alleging ‘direct discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation’ against the Christian hotel owners, Peter and Hazelmary Bull.

The claim is under the new Equality Act (Sexual Orientation) Regulations 2007, which made it unlawful to refuse a person goods or facilities on the grounds of their sexual orientation.

Martin Hall and Steven Preddy, from Bristol, booked a room at the Chymorvah Private Hotel in Marazion, Cornwall, in September 2008, but when they arrived at the location, they were told that only married heterosexual couples could stay in the same room.

It is time to get rid of the "Sexual Orientation Regulations". They don't work. How can a government create laws which protect a disordered lifestyle? These people need help in overcoming their same sex attraction not an array of laws to encourage them in their disorder.

The hotel owners are right in refusing to allow two men to stay in the same room. Same sex attraction is a disorder and renting a room to them only encourages this. It's a bit like allowing an alcoholic to look after a bottle shop for a while. The situation makes it hard for him to remain free from temptation.

The US state of Iowa has become the third state to reject marriage as between one man and one woman

Iowa, HJR 6, Same Sex Marriage,

Iowa joined the ranks of the terminally befuddled when the state supreme court voted unanimously against marriage between one man and one woman.

This makes the third state to allow same sex marriage solely on the basis of court decisions rather than by the people's will. Even the court admits it ruled against the will of the people.

What can be done about this madness? For the people of Iowa it is simple. Contact your legislators.

There is three weeks in which to bring HJR 6 to the floor for a vote in the Iowa House. Unfortunately, the measure is being blocked by the House leadership, and will require a 2/3 majority to even bring it to the floor. Already, Iowa legislators are hearing from their constituents, and some are even canceling town hall meetings and other public events simply because they don't want to face voters angry about their unwillingness to stand for marriage.

There are 33 Iowa House members whose support will be critical to bring HJR 6 -- the Iowa Marriage Amendment -- to vote by the full House during the last two weeks of this year's legislative session.

These 33 legislators need to know how critical this issue is, not only to their own constituents, but also to the entire nation, as the Iowa decision will embolden and energize gay marriage activists all across the nation. The Court had it wrong -- "The traditional notion that children need a mother and a father" isn't "based more on stereotype than anything else." It's based in common sense, natural law, and the very essence of the way God designed the family structure. Marriage is about moms and dads -- raising their baby together.

Send an email to the 33 Iowa House members whose support is critical to the passage of HJR 6 this year. Time is short. Do it right now. Click here to send your message.

East Timor, moving towards an abortion free nation: unborn children's rights upheld

Midwives East Timor Australia, Midwives East Timor Australia, Abortion,

The East Timor government has upheld unborn children's right to life by dropping an article from the draft penal code that would have decriminalised abortion for victims of sexual violence or incest.

Initially the draft penal code decriminalised abortion for women if the pregnancy would put their mental or physical health at risk, or if they were victims of sexual violence or incest. Thanks to the hard work and dedication from pro life groups, unborn children are now safe from death through abortion.

Meanwhile "Midwives East Timor Australia" continues to support non-government organisations to help reduce the maternal and neonatal mortality rate in East Timor. It is claimed that only 10% of pregnant women in East Timor give birth with the assistance of a qualified midwife. There is hardly enough health care workers to help with births let alone directing these resources into abortion.

April is Abortion Recovery Awareness Month in Texas

Texas Governor Rick Perry has proclaimed April as Abortion Recovery Awareness Month.

The month of April has been designated as a time to highlight and reflect on the traumatic effects of abortion. Ending a pregnancy through abortion interrupts the natural birth process and creates significant trauma and stress for those involved in the pregnancy. An abortion is a tragic ending, not only because of the loss of a life, but also because of the physical and psychological trauma caused by the procedure itself.

The U.S. Supreme Court acknowledged in April 2007 that abortion causes "severe depression," and "loss of esteem" in some women, Carhart v. Gonzalez.

Katherine Hancock Ragsdale's dumb comment: "abortion is a blessing"

Katherine Hancock Ragsdale has caused a stir on the internet with a sermon, posted to her weblog, in which she called abortion a blessing. She is one of the few ministers in the American Episcopal Church who suffers from a same sex attraction and has no concern for the unborn.

In her sermon, titled, "Our Work is Not Done," she wrote that there should be no restrictions whatever on abortion.

"When a woman finds herself pregnant due to violence and chooses an abortion, it is the violence that is the tragedy; the abortion is a blessing."

What is this woman talking about? Abortion is violence. Violence against the unborn. If a woman's body has been violated through rape, it is a double tragedy to have her body violated again through abortion.

The sermon was removed from her blog earlier today after 59 commenters urged her to repent of her support for abortion.

The Swedish government has succumbed to radical homosexual pressure and legalised same sex marriage

In 1987 the law defined marriage as between a man and a woman. On Wednesday the Swedish parliament legalised same sex marriage, making it the fifth EU member country, after the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain and Norway, to recognize same sex marriage.

Steven Mosher, President of the Population Research Institute said the traditional family has come to "the end of the road" in Sweden, where over 60% of children are born to out of wedlock parents, and crime rates have risen, which Mosher attributes to the lack of the stability in children's lives that is afforded by the traditional family.

"When you allow homosexuals to 'marry,' you are saying that the aspect of raising children, the aspect of procreation is completely irrelevant," warned Mosher. "You are finally divorcing what you call marriage from any relationship of bearing and having children, and that empties out the concept entirely, making it devoid of any significance. So it's the end of the road for the family."

What I would like to ask the Swedish government is how does same sex marriage benefit their society?

Youth 4 Life Australia holds peaceful demonstrations against crimes of abortion

The Pro life movement is gaining momentum in Australia with peaceful demonstrations taking place in Melbourne, Sydney and several regional towns.

The latest protests were held outside an abortion clinic in Berkeley Street Carlton and in public places across the CBD today. About a dozen demonstrators staged a "die-in" at Federation Square this morning, lying down in the foetal position and shrouding themselves in red fabric to represent aborted babies. They also displayed graphic posters of aborted foetuses and gave away flyers to passers-by.

While the protest was peaceful, several bystanders expressed their disgust. One man stubbed out his cigarette on a protester, while another man confronted them. "They shouldn't really be allowed to display such disgusting images," he said. The images only exist because the crime of abortion exists.

On Tuesday, angry Bendigo residents clashed with pro life supporters in an attempt to seize graphic images displayed by the group. Members of "Youth for Life" scuffled with offended locals as they tried to grab posters from demonstrators.

Youth 4 Life founder Prue Neiberding said it was just the start of things to come.

"We were making a stand of solidarity for the babies of the country sceheduled to die today. While we were standing at that door no children could be killed or women exploited.

She said the protest was part of a state-wide "Revelation'' tour which was successfully generating awareness and increasing the groups 300-plus membership.

Ms Neiberding said the controversial bill passed through State parliament last year, denied doctors the freedom not to participate in abortion and exploited women.

"We are not going away,'' Ms Neiberding said. "We have answered a call to protect one third of our generation. "My message to women is to rethink their scheduled abortion and rethink what it would mean to them emotionally.

Hundreds of thousands march in protest against the Spanish government liberalizing the country's abortion laws

Hundreds of thousands of pro-life advocates filled the streets and plazas of cities throughout Spain on March 29 in protest against legislation proposed by the Spanish Socialist government to liberalize the country's abortion laws.

The organizers of the country-wide demonstrations estimated that 500,000 people took part in rallies in more than 80 cities across Spain, with AFP reporting an estimated 100,000 in Madrid alone.

Right to Life spokeswoman Dr. Gador Joya told the crowd in front of Madrid's Equality Ministry, "The government wants to approve a free abortion law that leaves the unborn completely unprotected. The proposed law "will only lead to more deaths and more suffering by thousands of women," she said. "We demand that our laws protect the right to live and to be a mother."

It looks like some great things are happening in Spain
